Guillermo Siliuto Pineda
Hello!
Hello! I'm Guillermo Siliuto Pineda, a passionate game designer, programmer, and artist born in Madrid in 1985. I graduated in programming in 2015, and since then, I've been dedicated to programming and team management professionally. However, I've been fascinated by the world of video games for as long as I can remember and how they can create unique experiences by conveying sensations and emotions.
Since 2016, I've had the pleasure of working with Unity to design and develop five complete video games, taking on all the creative and technical tasks except the sound design. This process has allowed me to combine my skills in design, programming, and art to create games that I hope players will enjoy as much as I enjoyed creating them.
Designing games is not just my passion; it is my true vocation. My dream is to be able to dedicate myself to this passion full-time and continue creating worlds and experiences that inspire and entertain others.
On this website, you can learn more about my projects and my career. I hope you enjoy exploring my games and that we can connect, whether as players, independent developers, interested companies, or simply video game enthusiasts.
Thank you for visiting my page and for your interest in my work!
Rect
2016
Rect is my first complete game, a metroidvania with a fake 3D art style and pixel art textures. The story follows a cube on a journey of self-discovery in a world that has lost its emotions. During this quest, the cube meets another cube, falls in love, and together they try to escape from this desolate world. Leading to two different endings.
Initially, the art of the game was going to consist solely of simple geometric shapes. However, as I learned to draw, I decided to apply textures to these shapes to give them more visual appeal and, at the same time, improve my artistic skills.
Although Rect has technical and design shortcomings, it represents my beginnings in game development. This project taught me that I am capable of completing a game on my own, and it is a reflection of my passion and dedication. I am proud of "Rect" because it is a testament to my perseverance and my evolution as a developer.
The Radio Incident
2022
"The Radio Incident" is about a mysterious radio that one day starts talking to the player, giving orders through the broadcast and requiring the player to solve puzzles using the radio itself. As you progress, the story surrounding the mystery of the radio unfolds. Additionally, you will earn money to buy collectibles and decorate the room you are in.
I consider "The Radio Incident" my first major game. It features an extensive and mature story with solid mechanics and well-designed puzzles. I collaborated with various artists to include them in the game's soundtrack, as well as professional voice actors in both English and Spanish.
If you like puzzle story-driven games, you will like The Radio Incident, a free non-commercial one-man team game:
- Solve super original and challenging puzzles.
- Decorate the room with the in-game money you earn.
- Enjoy seven radio stations featuring synthwave, hip-hop, dream pop, future funk, lo-fi, and classical music, plus an extra experimental station made by the artist Dijomen (Search for him on Spotify, he's great).
- Discover all four endings while solving the mystery behind the strange radio.
- Original dubbed version in both English and Spanish.
Conoi
2019
"Conoi" tells the story of a small alien stranded in a world of animals. In this world, everyone communicates through icons, making each conversation a puzzle in itself, in addition to the numerous puzzles that allow our hero to progress until he finds his ship and returns to his planet. The game is text-free, even in the interface, so anyone in the world can play it without language barrier issues.
In "Conoi," I focused on game and puzzle design, as well as a fun aesthetic accompanied by a country-style soundtrack.
Unbodied
2024
Unbodied is a small adventure full of magic, puzzles, and strange characters. Explore the entire cemetery, get your magic wand, and find all the spells that will help you progress. "Unbodied" is about a small skeleton whose body has been taken from him and now he fights to reclaim it. Lost in a cemetery filled with this weird characters and challenging puzzles, our hero finds a magic wand that allows him to progress by acquiring different spells.
"Unbodied" is my first commercial game released on Steam. It is entirely focused on game design, levels, and puzzles, featuring charismatic and humorous character design. It offers an enviromental narrative where the lore is reserved for the most curious players.
-
- Encounter strange beings that will aid (or hinder) you on your adventure.
-
- Face challenging puzzles that will test your patience.
-
- Big chunk pixels that delight pixel art enthusiasts.
-
- Dark and sarcastic humor around every corner.
Stuff Destroyer
2017
"Stuff Destroyer" simulates an 80s/90s arcade machine. With pixel art aesthetics and a synthwave theme, in "Stuff Destroyer" you take on the role of The Rider. As you drive towards the city at night, various objects fall from the sky. This is where the player steps in, destroying all the objects at a frenetic pace and increasing the difficulty as the level progresses. There are up to 7 different types of objects, each with its own abilities. Destroy them all to increase your score and collect all the figures based on your performance.
"Stuff Destroyer" was my second game, where I wanted to explore mobile game development. Additionally, it is the only game where everything was created by me, including the sound design. While it also has technical and design shortcomings, it represents a clear advancement over "Rect" in every aspect.
